I use Yapsody for all my ticketing needs for Spotlight Studios for the Performing Arts in Fairport NY (a suburb of Rochester NY). Spotlight is all about educational performances for Kindergartner through high school seniors. We produce over 20 shows a year with different age groups. Our space only seats 110 but having Yapsody as our ticketing service has made our lives so much easier. We used paper tickets before we discovered Yapsody and handled all the ticket purchases, refunds and ticket switches by hand (not forgetting about parents who have lost their tickets, want to leave tickets at the box office for several different family members to pick up). Yapsody has made all aspects of ticket sales super easy.
Setting up a new show is simple - I just copy a previous production and change the dates, logo and show description.
We have a limited number of seats available so we set up access codes that allow parents to buy a up to certain number of tickets to make sure all families are able to get tickets.
I love connecting with Yapsody support. They are always very responsive, helpful, and cheerful. I have communicated with support through email and through the online chat. I recommend Yapsody to everyone. I convinced another theatre group in the area to use Yapsody for their ticketing. They have assigned seating so between yapsody support and my help, they got that set up and it works beautifully. Things I really REALLY love about Yapsody:
1) The apps for my iphone! I love being able to see how many tickets have been sold or are left for any particular production. I love LOVE having the ability to scan in tickets at performance time and being able to look them up if customers "forget" or lose their tickets. I also love that if I ever use more than one usher, each one could be running the app on their phone.
2) Online sales. I never have to deal with a ticket sale in person. I publish my yapsody storefront on my website, on social media and in email blasts.
3) Paypal. When a ticket sale happens, I get the money right away.
4) Ticket refunds are super easy.

Yapsody combines the best of two worlds very well: Price and Functionality. Not only can sell tickets the way that I want them, the pricing is the best on the market. What other companies sell as add-ons or enterprise-only features are standard with Yapsody. This tells me that Yapsody puts their customers first.
Many of the features we were looking for, like customized tickets and reserved seating, came at highly marked-up costs. We also couldn't get any recognition as a nonprofit.
Selling tickets was easy and checking them in at the event was quick and simple. We have received many comments from our guests that they really enjoyed our events and that the whole process was very professional. This was due in large part to Yapsody.
On several occasions, we approached Yapsody's customer support for help in how to accomplish a particular vision using Yapsody. This is my first experience with event ticketing and Yapsody is a Professional site, easy to track income. Set up was straightforward.
Online ticketing increases ticket sales because we can market via social media and offer a direct link on our website. Our ballet studio opened in 2016 and we have used Yapsody for 7 of our performances. The flexibility in having different seating classifications has been nice. We have used reserved, balcony and general admission seating all in one show.

ANIMA is probably not the typical customer for a ticketing system - we're a garden, a sightseeing spot open 7 days a week. Yapsody is a great partner when it comes to a quick solution for needed features or the solution of problems.

Their Support is always very reactive & quick and the team is open to implementing features we need.

For us at the Stratford Perth Museum, Yapsody has been an integral part of our remarkable growth over the past five years. When we signed up for Yapsody, we had no online tickets options at all and Yapsody was recommended to us by our website provider and a provincial tourism partner. In 2013, we had 853 visitors to the Museum, this year we will have well over 10,000.
Over the past few years we have had several high profile exhibits and events where controlling the number of tickets sold was vitally important. So, while Yapsody gives us the ability to sell tickets online, its real value is giving us an up to the minute total as to the number of tickets sold. Given the great online settings, we can quickly close ticket sales from a desktop or even a phone. We used this for the Anne Frank House exhibit, Shakespeare’s First Folio and the Franklin Expedition exhibit from the Royal Ontario Museum.
But, the best example was last year for the opening of our Justin Bieber exhibit Steps to Stardom. We had no idea that the opening would be so popular, but weeks in advance, we noticed that ticket sales were through the roof and we closed off sales. On the opening weekend we had patrons from the UK, France as well as all over Canada and the United States. We had to limit the number of people in the exhibit at anyone time. Without Yapsody, we would have had to turn people away at the door – which would have been terrible.

I run South Bay Film Society and sell over 1,000 tickets per month to film events. I have used Yapsody for selling tickets to my film events for over a year now, after switching from a couple other ticketing platforms. I have found Yapsody to be excellent in all respects.

On Yapsody I have a branded URL (with my museum name) and also main site to send people that lists all of my upcoming events. On some other ticketing sites there is no main page only individual event links and the links are generic (like the ticketing host company name and an event number.)
Yapsody fees are significantly less. I could go into detail here but you may already have this information. Some other sites charge a large sump sum fee, like $2 a ticket. This doesn’t make sense when my events are for $10 or less to than add on $2. On Yapsody the additional fee on a $10 ticket is a very reasonable 76 cents.

USC Rip City is a community based basketball association. About 5 years ago we grew and evolved from offering simply community based junior club basketball to a comprehensive program including semi-profession men’s and women’s team. With this growth in our program, while still being largely a volunteer run organisation we needed to access programs and systems that were affordable and allowed us to easily run a professional ticketing system.
Yapsody has provided us with a very intuitive system to use with flexibility to have general admission or assigned seating as we need for an event. I have used Yapsody for our online reserved seating ticketing for 3 years. I have found the platform to be relatively easy to maneuver and I like that it offers many features not found on other online ticketing sites. We have a discount period, and Yapsody allows us to set the dates for when we want the discount. We have presales and Yapsody has a code option which allows those involved with the presale to access the site while others cannot. The thing that is the best about Yapsody is the online chat support service. If there is an issue, you can chat with a service representative and they help you through it at that point in time, unlike others where you may have to wait for a day or two for someone to get back to you. I also like the report availability, it shows you a quick glance or a more in-depth view. Really very happy with the changes made over the years to make the site even more user friendly than it was the year before.
